Round and Round Goes the Merry-Go-Round

Drugless Therapy for OCD

This book was written from a layman’s perspective and spans forty years of working with clients who have OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). Some of them have been diagnosed and some of them have not, but they all have the classical symptoms of OCD.

When I started working with these clients, there was very little known about this disorder and there were no drugs for it in the United States that I knew of. In order to help my clients, I had to devise behavior modification techniques to mitigate the worst of the symptoms.

To this day, most of the people who have OCD are ashamed of it because their symptoms are beyond their control and they are powerless to stop them. Because of the stigma attached to this disorder, most of these people suffer in silence and isolation.

Someday, when more research is done and more people come forward to share their stories, I hope that more people will seek the medical help they need to reclaim their lives.
